Internship Opportunities
We offer 3-month internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students during the fall and spring academic semesters as well as in the summer. We are able to accommodate high school students during the summer semester. Interns must commit to 8-10 hours a week and are required to attend a weekly in-person lab meeting.

Application Windows
Summer 2024: May 19-June 2
Fall 2024: August 4-18
Spring 2025: January 12-26
Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Gain research experience relevant to graduate school, medical school
- Develop skills related to data collection and analysis
- Recruit and run participants
- Co-author manuscripts, IRB applications, and conference presentations
- Develop independent projects (undergraduate/master’s thesis, etc.)
- Use specific skill sets (graphic design, language translation, etc.)
- Receive course credit if your major/program allows it
Examples of current research topics include, but are not limited to:
- Food marketing (targeting children and/or racial/ethnic minorities)
- Examination of obesity and food policies in the US and international community
- Examining parallels between tobacco and food companies
We are interested in applicants with the following additional skills:
- Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, or other foreign language skills
- Graphic design
- Social Media Management
